Aqua Viva Hotel
Aqua Viva Hotel
This home is located on a hill overlooking Playa Guiones. Its U-shape design allows access to the infinity-edge pool through French doors from all the rooms. Great ocean and sunset views! Privacy!
Experience the real Costa Rica at this home designed by renowned architect ‘Olivier’ of Nosara, for Europeans. The simple lines, high ceilings, vented through breezeways, original Mexican tile floors and wood ceilings add to the feeling of high tropical design for mainly outdoor living. (And Now Eco- AC units are available in the bedrooms, for those warmer days) A huge rancho shades outside meals, yoga, exercise and ‘hanging out’, overlooking the pool. The mature luscious landscaping boasts many varieties of plants and trees- where exotic birds and troops of monkeys pass through, usually daily, as this property backs up to the Nature Reserve in Pelada. The property is so wholesome and complete that it is hard to leave it, even to walk to the beach, a block away. But the beach! One of the quietest, most beautiful in Costa Rica, one can walk down the beach at sunset, and perhaps see one other person. Walk the beach to La Luna restaurant, one of the best in town, by sunset, wine and dine, and walk back to the house by full moon!
Nearby Guiones can be accessed by continuing on the beach a further few minutes, and over the pathway. For exercisers and walkers, it is possible to have a cardio walk 2 hours there and back without ever leaving the water, at low tide.
Our housekeeper will have the house in tip top shape (ladies want to take my housekeeper home!) when you arrive, and then comes once a week to clean to give you optimum privacy. Clean towels are available and sheets upon request. The weekly maid will handle your small personal laundry when she comes, or laundry facilities are nearby for larger loads if desired. There is a 75- management and cleaning fee on top of all bookings for 1-2 weeks, 100- 3+ weeks. Upon renting, you will be informed as to the best local supermarkets to buy food, best local restaurants, and the most economical, high quality way to live. Outdoor activities are within walking distance – horse riding, kayaking, wild life refuge tour, river tours, bird watching, and a short drive (5 minutes) to the longest zip line in the country, surf school, and a world famous yoga center. For a bout of tech-withdrawal, the house has fast internet access and wi-fi. Casita Louisa is a haven for the simpler, creative and healthy type, (or one who would like to be) who sees life in an artistic and healthful way, and wants to truly escape from the mayhem of contemporary life for a while, without spending a fortune! Paintings, books, films and artwork inside the house, and nature abounding outside – a true getaway!
Only a short walk from the beach of Guiones, this property is owned by a Yoga teacher and it shows with the decoration, furniture and the peaceful atmosphere. A perfect place to relax, and also to hit the waves!!!
Dos Pochotes is just steps from the best surf-break in Nosara in the heart of the beautiful Playa Guioness. The waves are almost always playful and fun for all levels of surfers and swimmers.
With the Nosara Yoga Institute and the new Blue Spirit yoga center nearby, there are always plenty of great yoga classes available.
There are also lots of other activities to enjoy. From Kayaking and stand-up Paddle boarding, to bird watching and hiking. You can go see the Sea Turtles laying their eggs. Or just kick back and enjoy a Pina Colada, or a local Cerveza in your comfortable hammock, or at the pool of the nearby Gilded Iguana. But one thing is for sure, you won’t want to miss the sunset. Whether you choose to paddle out on your board and watch the sky turn every possible shade of yellow, red, orange, and purple from in the water, ride the beach on horseback, or sit and relax on the beach in the warm sand and enjoy a beverage, each sunset over the Pacific in Nosara is a reminder that the best things in life are free….
With monkeys swaying from tree to tree in the jungle of your backyard, you feel far away from all. Yet you are close to all that you might need and therefore have no need for a car. There is little market only two minutes away that carries all the food and basic supplies you might need. (Fresh fruits and vegetables, sunscreen and Aloe, chips and dips, bug-spray, almond butter, bananas, batteries, cereal, milk, beer, beans, bread….etc etc etc)
There are plenty of quaint restaurants nearby, The Gilded Iguana, Kaya Sol, Casa Romantica, The Harmony Hotel, Cafe Paris or Rosie’s, just to name a few.
The house has two bedrooms with Queen size beds, and two bathrooms, a cute living space, and kitchen fully equipped to cook your own meals. Perhaps a fresh piece of fish caught that day in Garza or Playa Pelada, or some delicious vegetables from the local farmer’s market.
There is plenty of outdoor space with hammocks and and a dining table and plenty of grass to play around on with family, friends, and loved ones.
To get to Nosara, you can fly to either San Jose or Liberia. From both of those international airports you can schedule a small plane at Sansa Airlines or Natureair (apprx 30-40 min flights). From Liberia the drive is about 2 1/2 hrs and from San Jose about 41/2 hrs. There are busses and taxis available as well. Email me for further information.
Nice location for nature’s lovers… only a couple of minute walk from the mouth of the river Nosara for fishing and wildlife watching. It is part of the Nosara Refuge and a 4-minute walk to the pristine beach of Pelada through a jungle trail.
