As you surely remember from the beginnings, our boat is powered by a pollution-free electric outboard motor. Formerly we used a motor which needed three lead-acid batteries to generate 1,5 hp. Although we always brought them back for recycling, in our eyes those batteries were not really ecofriendly. For years we´ve been watching the market for a better solution and finally we found something which is a quantum jump in the electric outboard technology. The new motor we invested in is a german brand high efficiency engine and it uses just one hightech lithium battery to generate 3 hp - that´s awesome! From now on, NosaraBoatTours is the most sustenible and ecofriendly motor powered river tour operator througout Costa Rica and all competitors out there even might be quite jealous if that is reaching their ears. However, there is something more that makes us quite unique: During the tour we provide our guests with prefessional binoculars plus a special NosaraBoatTours bird list made by us to identify birds much easier.
