Lovely relaxing vacation in the jungle and on the beach

We were delighted with the service we received staying here. The property management company was friendly and responsive to our e-mails and phone calls. We were given a book full of information about the area, tips on where to eat, and how to handle ourselves as tourists. We had one small problem with the water heater in our cabin, and when we brought it to the attention of the management, it was fixed within a couple of hours, even during the busiest time of the year. The management company also stopped by a couple of times to check in and make sure we were comfortable as well as give us updates on what was happening in the area. The cabin was small, but very well laid out. It had all of the space we needed for the two of us, a well sized bathroom with a very generous shower. The kitchen had a new refrigerator, and all of the basic small appliances needed. There were plenty of dishes for use as well, but only two hotplate burners for cooking. Since we were on vacation, we didn't intend to cook. It also provided ample towels and facecloths, including towels for beach use. The bed was very comfortable. The cabin was nothing fancy, but it was spotless and very charming. The location couldn't be beat. We were located within a 5 min walk to several restaurants, a bank, and several shops, including a store for all essentials. The beach was about an 8 minute walk. The people were all super friendly and congenial. The lush jungle was gorgeous. So much of the area was unspoiled by development. The area is eco-friendly as well, with recycling playing a big factor. The restaurants had many different types of ethnic fare, along with vegan and vegetarian options in many places. With the exception of one restaurant, the food was fantastic. We were there for 8 nights, and it was an extremely pleasant stay the whole time. We highly recommend this cabin and the area for a simple but stunning stay in an unspoiled location.

quiet paradise right at your doorstep

My wife and I spent a luxurious week and a half enjoying the serenity of this Costa Rica town over the Christmas/New Year's holidays. I say luxurious, because living in New York City, the quiet and calm, chill vibe of Nosara is a much-needed relief from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The cottage was clean and simple, just right to meet our needs for someplace that was out-of-the-way. It was very close to a nice selection of local restaurants, surf shops and stores. The local people were so friendly and polite, and the management of the property was always available and most helpful, even during a minor incident with the hot water heater that was fixed promptly after notifying them on New Year's Eve! Just try getting that kind of timely attention in NYC on a big holiday! My wife and I found ourselves indulging in escapist fantasy the longer we stayed, expending quite a bit of conversation over dinners after long days soaking up the rays and surfing the sandy point-break of Playa Guinones, discussing what it would take to chuck off the work-a-day life back home and move to Nosara! This cottage and the town are definitely on our short list of destinations to return to! Hopefully; it won't be too long! Pura Vida, as the locals say (about sums up the best of what we enjoyed so much of our brief sojourn)!
