Beautifully designed, it has all you need for a relaxing vacation, away from the crowds: pool, a/c, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and, the cherry on the cake, an open living room to truly enjoy the air of Costa Rica!
The master bedroom is located on the lower level and open onto the pool. It has a king bed, private bathroom and a/c. The second bedroom on the lower level opens up on the outdoor living room, and also has a king bed and a/c. Its semi-private bathroom can also be accessed from the terrace. The third bathroom, also with a/c, is upstairs and occupies the entire length of the building with a queen bed on one side, two twins that can be made into a king on the other side, and the bathroom is in the center. Please note: bedrooms do not communicate with each other from the inside.
The kitchen has everything needed to cook a delicious meal to be enjoyed on the Guanacaste wood table located on the covered terrace outside. There is also a charcoal grill outside by the pool. Other amenites include laundry room, wireless internet, alarm, safe and more.
I recomend Nosara Property Management, the service was excellent and the ammenities and location as expected.
The house was delightful. We loved the open kitchen eating area and the pool. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, we really enjoyed the location. From the pool, we watched howler monkeys swing through the trees and iguanas sun on the roof. Wished we could have stayed longer!
We had a wonderful time, the house was great and was well equiped. Really enjoyed the pool and the privacy. Nice and quiet. We also enjoyed the wild life that passed through to get a drink from the pool. Propertry manager agnes was great, very helpful and just a cell phone call away which was appreciated. Only downside was the road up to the house.
Everywhere you go there are ants, not just the regular ones but the biting ones. You can clean all day and they never go away....Who wants to spend there time cleaning when you are on a vacation. The other major problem was the smell from the bathrooms. We needed to keep a cover on the drains so the smell would not come up as bad. The custodians sent people over and it still came back. It says that the kitchen is fully equipped well I guess it is with warped pots & pan. Again if you do not clean up every crumb you will be swamped with ants in minutes. The pool was nice but if you did not clean it you could not use it...the cleaning guy -if he showed up- would come in the late afternoon. Again more time cleaning. Since the sitting area is all outside you spend your day cleaning this as the trees and plants blow into your space. The beach was nice but the walk is more like 10 minutes. The roads to this home are horrible and that is putting it mildly. We were also broken into which was very traumatic and the custodian only "joked about not charging us for the busted down door". Yes your right, we would never rent or go back to this area again.
Thank you for your review. Unfortunately we were unable to fumigate the house for the ants since it needs to be empty so as not to harm guests with the toxic chemicals. We have located the source of the bathroom smell and will take care of it once the house is unoccupied, as it involves some heavy work. The house is surrounded by trees which does mean some leaves blow into the pool and living space, particularly with the strong winds we've been having lately, but we have talked to the pool guy and the gardeners, who will do their best to maintain the area clean. We would like to mention that the house is located 500 meters from the beach, and the roads have now been repaired. We apologise for the comment about not charging for the broken door, it was intended to lighten the mood. We appreciate your feedback as it allows us to continue to improve our service.
Great vacation in CR. Home is absolutely wonderful, with a great pool and a short walk to the beach. If you are looking for a happening beach town, I would recommend the drier season... but going when we did allowed us to avoid the crowds, and see lots of wildlife. We got at least a few hours of sunshine each day, and had Pelada beach almost entirely to ourselves. All in all, this house is the perfect way to see Nosara, and serves as a nice base to explore coastal Guanacaste. I would recommend flying into San Jose and taking a Sansa flight over to the coast... very cool flight on a single engine 12 seater that lands on a dirt runway by the coast...incredible!
Amazing Property. Beautiful, Clean, Well thought out, and obviously Loved. This was a 10 min DRIVE to the Main Surfing beach - Playa Guillones, and a short walk to Playa Pelada. Pelada not good for surfing,rougher than Guillones, but ok for being totally alone, and fine for Boogie boarding. Parents: where I might turn my back on the kids in the surf for a minute on Guillones....I wouldn't in the Pelada Surf. (I had a hard time finding out this info from all the stuff I read before going....) We were 3 adults, (2 in one room, 1 in the other) +3 kids, 9-15 (upstairs) Plenty of room/showers etc....for all. Could have fit one more adult in 2nd room sharing the king bed - and one more kid upstairs to share the double. There was nothing that we lacked here, and in fact were very thankful for the clothes dryer that we usde on a daily basis - as it was rainy season and we got soaked often - and no sun to dry anything. Had no nead to run the AC, but maybe that was the time of year once again. Pool - Lovely, Pet Coati that lived in the Palapa roof - adorable, and hung out in the rafters more often than not. The Managers of the poperty are wonderful, friendly wordly and very helpful! They even let us borrow DVDs for the kids for entertainment in the evening! I liked the NOT Roughing aspect for a 2 week holiday. If you wanted walking distance to the surf beach, and to rough it a bit more, then there are other options - closer to Guillones - But if you would like a bit more comfort & home feel (especially on a longer holiday)and don't mind packing up every morning and driving to the beach then its a Fabulous Choice!! I Almost don't want to advertise it, so that i am sure of its availbility for the next time! But that woudln't be fair to the owners.
