The house was designed simply but effectively. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, a/c in all the rooms, living room and a fully equipped kitchen, it will answer to all your needs while staying within a reasonable budget. It is located only a four minute walk from the beach of Pelada, through a jungle trail, and another ten minute walk to the surfers' beach of Guiones. In a quiet area, within a four-minute walk to the beautiful mouth of the river Nosara (known as 'Boca Nosara'), where you can go fishing and enjoy fabulous sunsets. At the 'Boca' you will also find kayaking, river tour for birdwatching and horse stables.
I had never been to Costa Rica before, but my experience was amazing. Michelle's hideaway is a beautiful 2 bedroom house with all of the ammenities that you will need. Wireless internet, weekly maid service, and the best property management I have ever had in my entire life. The house came with a microwave, but unfortunately it didn't work. I called up the property manager and I had a brand new microwave within 20 minutes!! Also, it was great to have laundry service for ten dollars. I was able to get back my freshly washed clothes, folded and returned the same day. Also, while I was there a new washer and dryer were installed so future travellers will have that new benefit. The price was very reasonable and made my stay very enjoyable. I stayed at the house for 7 weeks and I never once wanted to stay anywhere else. Directly outside the house is a path which leads to the beach. It takes about 4 or 5 minutes, and because it is not the main beach in Nosara, it is kind of like having your own private beach. I really felt safe in the area -- I didn't have any crime happen to me or others around me. My aunt and Uncle came down to visit for a week and told me it was the best place in Costa Rica that they have ever been -- and they have been to Costa Rica six previous times. Some of the fun activities in the area are surfing, yoga, ziplining, kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, tennis, horseback riding, and simply enjoying the beach and the unbelievable sunsets the area has to offer. Since there are no street names or addresses in Nosara, I am glad I booked a taxi through the rental company. The cab driver had a sign and picked me up from the Liberia airport and drove me directly to Michelle's hideaway. I recommend using the taxi service to ensure you don't get lost. It is defiinitely possible that I might have got lost if I tried to drive myself. Definitely worth it to come to Nosara in Costa Rica, and Michelle's hideaway is the best place I could of hoped for. I recommend it to anyone!!
